64 Squares
Lessons of inspiration from a chessboard
64 squares a chessboard owns
With pawns and rooks and knights
Bishops, kings, queens, no thrones
A game of skill and virtual fights
A story of the emperor's rice
Doubled daily on each new square
Fairly soon he paid the price
For math was not his care
Are we but pawns to be moved about?
In real life, no I dare say
As is our right, at times we must shout
To self-determine our future way
So learn you well in words and numbers
Wisdom is key, logic is truth
Do not through your studies slumber
Be always a student, starting in youth
