China Plates

About China Plates and other Art

There are china plates on the wall that belong to
Another time, place, another home; yard sale finds
I like them cause they're pretty; cheap décor; not new
They don't match and they may clash; who minds?

We have some artifacts too; like carvings from Asia
A fur pelt, a beer stein, wooden shoes, a leather camel
It's our Nat Geo spot, a wide, wild, world fantasia
And some South Amer'can works in porcelain enamel

To help the starving artists, big canvases splash color
Odd prints from the Louvre, and a Florentine cherub
All adorn the high walls to be definitely not duller
Oh, to just enjoy this art without any hubbub
