A Fox Comes Down the Pathway
About a cute little fox in the neighborhood
A fox comes down the pathway
In front of our tall south windows
She comes the same time each day
It's hard to see her when the grass grows
When she makes her morning rounds
We get a kick out of our observing
Not being chased by fox hounds
Of this, she is well deserving
Maybe her pups hunger and she's gone for food
Maybe she's just taking a casual stroll
The daily excursion seems to do her good
And it's quite alright if we don't know her goal
Foxes are canines like wolves and coyotes
They look cute enough to be our pets
But alas they are wild, with pretty coats
I wonder where she goes and what she gets
