I See in the Garden

Inspired by my backyard

Graceful snake plant in earthen crock
With stiletto shoots toward the sun
Hues of green rimmed by yellow shock
One tone, two tone, three tone

Thick weedy looking maple bush
I don't know the exact kind
Box elder? or Silver?, very lush
Planted by insect or bird or wind

Pine tree in our little forest
Staking out its happy zone
Part of nature's bounteous harvest
Started by an errant cone

There, a rose, emerging from the wood
There, hibiscus, (it was moved outside)
Palms around too, all create the mood
Private garden, nature, human unified
