Tall Blades of Grass

Musings after a walk amid the grass

Tall blades of grass and other flora
Bending deep from lots of rain
Tread carefully now, there may be more
Coming tomorrow, yet again

Blades of grass, hiding magic mushroom
Which appears suddenly after the rain
Notice it does not need much room
Spreading hat inches over its plain

Blades of grass with grasshoppers
And lady bugs and spider weaves
Nourished by nature's water droppers
Bending beneath the upper leaves

Blades of grass in hues of green
With seeds at feathery points
Waist high, higher than I've seen
Nature, knowing, wise, appoints
