The Apple Falleth
Using Arcaic word forms for an Untouched Forest
The apple falleth from the tree
A squirrel eateth to the core
The core rotteth 'neath the leaves
A compost for the forest store
The rain falleth from the sky
The deer lappeth nectar sweet
The sun appeareth by and by
To warm the forest with its heat
The motor leaveth forest virgin
Untouched for generations
The forest whole and without sin
Escaping progress' perturbations
