A Snake I See
A poem of looking out an airplane window at a river far below
A snake, I see far below me
The river, it is, dull brown
Meandering through a verdant valley
Winding through a lazing town
A highway, parallels the snake
More like a cord with shallow bend
A loose ribbon for the traveler to take
At speeds in ages past, no comprehend
