At the Airport
About what I saw at the airport awaiting a flight
At the airport, awaiting their flights
Loads of folks of all persuasions
Of all ages, shapes and heights
Going for business or other occasions
Sitting by the windows or just on the floor
Enjoying a ride on the walkway
Munching on food from the airport store
Do I hear a thunderous talk? Nay
A man in a reflexive smock walks by
His radio staticy, I can't make it out
He's staying here, while we up and fly
But such is his employ, not doubt
Sharing fast Chinese, pizza in a box
Not the same as first class dining
Can eat quickly, watch the clocks
For aloft, we all are pining
