Band of Silver, Band of Gold
A Wedding Vow
(Officiate says)
Band of silver, band of gold
Two rings fused into one
The metals bespeak a beauty of old
And each sparkles in this holy sun
Two such rings we have on cloth
One for a bride and one for her groom
Inscribed "I Love You", meaning troth
Marking this love in full bloom
(Groom recites)
I thread this ring on your fourth finger
My touch on your skin forever to linger
(Bride recites)
On your fourth finger I thread this ring
I am now your wife, my heart does sing
