In Practice

About a marriage proposal (in practice for the real thing)

In practice for the moment soon
I want to ask you this
Will you be my bride this june?
A ring I have, and then a kiss

It's a symbol, a brilliant stone
Of love I have for you
I hope we bind, to not be lone
That you share in this too

This first ring I shall thread
Upon 4th finger fit
And then in June we two be wed
A band of gold to join it
