Swooning by the Light of the Moon
A Poem for when you are in love
Swooning by the light of the moon
Sounds tres romantique, n'est-ce-pas
Especially with the wedding very soon
When you both will being saying Das
Since he deftly lifts you off your feet
In noble spirit and in chivalrous deeds
Enjoy the romance, and dizziness greet
For to him a piece of your heart cedes
Take a deep breath if you need sweet air
The cool crisp oxygen is buoyant
It will help the balancing act you dare
For you, yourself, are well clairvoyant
You see the future walking arm and arm
With him the gallant lad who brings
Out your finest dazzle and tender charm
And makes you feel that you have wings
Alternate first verse if no wedding is planned
Swooning by the light of the moon
Sounds tres romantique, n'est-ce-pas
Maybe a trip to Paris, Rome, Cancun
Is on the wind; or two together at a spa
